Donald Trump responds to Taylor Swift 2024 endorsement of Kamala Harris
Former President Donald Trump responded to Vice President Kamala Harris’ endorsement of Taylor Swift on Tuesday after the “Tortured Poets Department” singer endorsed the Democratic nominee.
Trump was asked about Swift’s statement in the Spin Room, an area where reporters can ask questions of the candidates and their surrogates after the debate. He replied that I have no idea.
Shortly after the presidential debate ended Tuesday night, Swift shared a photo of herself with her cat Benjamin Button on Instagram and wrote in the caption that she would support Harris and Tim Walls. Swift also acknowledged Trump’s use of AI-generated images showing him endorsing her and said it made her realize she needed to be clear about her real plans for the election. . The pop star captioned the post, labeling herself “Childless Cat Lady,” poking fun at JD Vance’s now-viral comments about people who don’t have kids.

In a four-paragraph endorsement, Swift encouraged her 283 million followers to do their own research and vote ahead of this fall’s election.
“Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to research these issues and the candidates you care about the most. “What stances are taken on matters of importance,” Swift wrote. “As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about his proposed policies and plans for this country.”
This isn’t the first time Swift has endorsed a political candidate. He endorsed President Joe Biden and Harris in 2020, and he endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Phil Bredesen and U.S. Representative Jim Cooper in the 2018 re-election bid for Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District.

Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president minutes after the Democratic nominee’s presidential debate against her Republican rival, Donald Trump.
Writing on Instagram, the pop star said she would vote for Harris because, “she fights for rights and that’s why I believe she needs a fighter to champion her.”
“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. You have to do your research, and the choice is yours. I also want to say, especially for first-time voters: Remember Keep in mind that in order to vote, you must be registered!” Swift wrote to her 283 million followers. “I also think it’s very easy to vote early. I’ll link where to register and find early voting dates and information in my story.”

Swift signed the post: “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady,” a nod to Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance, who said during a 2021 interview: “We effectively run this country, through the Democrats, Run by their corporate oligarchs. A bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable about their lives and their choices, and therefore want to make the rest of the country miserable.”
Swift’s endorsement comes after some of her fans criticized Britney Mahomes for supporting Trump.
Mahomes, a 29-year-old expectant mother, first signaled her support for Trump on Aug. 13 when she liked Trump’s Instagram post that outlined the “2024 GOP platform.”
This sparked a firestorm of backlash against the superstar quarterback’s wife. In fact, Swift’s fans were among the critics. Several fan pages dedicated to Swift posted screenshots of the likes on social media, spreading the reach of the backlash.
