Musician Dave Grohl has shared some personal news about his family.

The Foo Fighters frontman announced that he recently became a father again, writing in a statement on his Instagram page on Tuesday that his new baby girl was born “outside” of his marriage to his wife Jordan Blum. .

“I recently became the father of a new baby girl, born out of wedlock,” Grohl wrote. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to him.”

“I love my wife and my children, and I’m doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” the former Nirvana band member continued in his statement. “We are grateful for your consideration of all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

A rep for Grohl had no comment beyond the Instagram statement.

Grohl has been married to director Blum since 2003. They have three daughters – Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

The rock and roll legend did not share any information about the mother of his new baby girl in his post on Tuesday.

Grohl and Blum have kept their relationship and home life largely private over the years, occasionally appearing together on the red carpet as a family.

They were recently spotted together at Wimbledon in London in July during the European League of Foo Fighters Tour.

Grohl married film and television producer Blum in 2003, a former model. They have three daughters together, including a 15-year-old and a 10-year-old with singer Violet Gerhl, 18.

He was previously married to photographer Jennifer Lee Youngblood, from 1994 to 1997, and has admitted that infidelity contributed to their divorce.

Grohl started the Foo Fighters in 1994, shortly after Kurt Cobain’s death as Nirvana broke up. In 2022, Taylor Hawkins, the band’s longtime drummer and Grohl’s close friend, died while on tour in South America.
